Abstract

The second most important disease is diarrhea which cause death in children under five years age . The research aimed to study the extent of Enteroinvasive E. coli and Enterotoxogenic E. coli between children’s samples less than 5 years. All 100 diarrhea samples gave positive result on the culture media for different type , (45%) of them belonged to E. coli . Bacteria isolates were grow on the  MacConkey agar and Eosin methylene blue for detects of Diarrheagenic E.coli (DEC).The extraction method approved by( Russell and Sam brook,2021) was followed extract DNA from isolates . Was used PCR for  amplification of stp gene for detection of ETEC and ipaH gene for detection of EIEC. The results showed wide spread prevalent of (DEC) at a rate of 45% with the percentage of males reaching 60% compared to females 40% .The results of amplify cuties and Agarose gel electrophoresis also showed that 33% of the isolates possess the ipaH gene , which confirms that these isolates  belong to ETEC while the stp gene showed a percentage of 22% , which in dictates that isolates belong to EIEC.
